Question:  Hello,  I received my zapper 2 weeks ago and it has stopped turning on, even after multiple battery changes. I would like to ship it back for a repair or new zapper.  Thanks.

Answer:   Thank you for writing.  Your batteries are probably the issue you face, and I will explain.  The battery life depends on which mode you use, and some modes take more battery power than others.  The best mode for battery life is the 5-minute cycle.  The 1 hour cycle takes the most battery life.  I will explain the “reset” which is likely the issue.

If you have already changed the batteries – please remove them and begin the reset.   After removing the batteries, let your Zapper sit empty for 15 minutes.  After that time, reinsert them, close the cover, and press start.  Your Zapper should begin as normal.

Please let me know how it goes.  We have a short troubleshooting section on our FAQ page at www.BestZapper.com/faq.  Thank you for your patience.

Response:  Thank you Lyn, it worked!

Lyn’s Note: Since we do not always know the battery life of the two AA alkaline batteries at time of shipping, and since we don’t know the cycles that you start with (and how much zapping you start out with), it is possible to see an initial battery drain where you have to replace the batteries earlier than we expect.  Just follow the procedure above, and you should do fine.  As always, please connect with us if you have more issues.
