In the past [my friend] had a heart surgery and a mechanical valve was implanted. Does the zapper interfere with this metallic valve? Probably the zappicator does not work properly with any metallic insertions, but I would like to know about the zapper. Please advise!

You can use the Zapper with metal in the body, except for use with a certain Pacemaker.  Please see our post for anyone with a Pacemaker who wants to use the Zapper   In the instance of a Pacemaker (and for pregnancy) one would do the Leg Zapping method described HERE.

The Zappicator has a series of magnets, where we advise not placing it directly on top of your Pacemaker.  Until we hear otherwise, we are recommending not placing the Zappicator over a metal implanted valve either.  I hope this helps.
